Fashion trends for spring 2012

Winter is finally gone! The days are getting warmer which means it’s time to ditch those baggy sweaters and step into something more fashionable! Here is a list of some the biggest fashion trends that will be all the rage this spring.

Colors will be bold and soft:

Be prepared to see a lot of bright, flashy colors on the racks of your favorite stores this spring. The neon color of choice will be orange, which is perfect if you want to stand out in a crowd. Be careful though; don’t just focus on bright and bold colors during your next shopping spree because pastels will also be in fashion this spring with the color of choice being mint green. A lot of styles will be tailored from the soft, refreshing color while shopping bags and shoes will be colored in bright shades of yellow, green, orange and hot pink.

Make a statement with bold prints:

If you feel like bright neon colors isn’t enough to get everyone’s attention, you’ll be able to make your presence known by wearing big, bold prints this spring. More classics styles of prints like animal prints, floral and geometric shapes will adorn many different styles of clothing but a new trend will emerge with the blooming flowers this season, futuristic prints. If plaids, stripes and polka dots aren’t your cup of tea, then be on the look-out for futuristic and pixilated prints that look like they would belong in an episode of The Jetsons.

Black and white is still in fashion:

Even if the fashion forecast predicts a storm of colorful hues this spring, it doesn’t mean that you’ll have to keep your black and white clothes locked away in your closet forever. For many fashion designers, black and white is still their bread and butter and while it is true that colors were all over the runway in fashion shows this spring, models were still wearing black and white clothes on the catwalks. Nobody can deny the appeal and stylish simplicity of a traditional black and white outfit so be sure to have at least one or two of these types of outfits in your wardrobe this spring.

No matter what you decide to wear this spring, don’t forget to choose styles and cuts that put your best features forward. Don’t be afraid to experience with shades of colors you might have been too timid to wear before.
