Sometimes it’s very easy to put yourself last – especially when you are a mother, wife, daughter, friend and career woman. Those are a lot of roles to fill! In today’s modern world, we feel compelled to be super woman and do it all, but to what detriment?
Indulging yourself in little things you enjoy, such as reading a book, taking a nap, going for a walk or soaking in a bath (amongst many others) can actually allow you to ultimately do more. Taking a break and loving yourself opens you up to others and makes you more interesting. We all need to take care of our mental and physical health – it reinforces our worthiness and helps us feel connected, relaxed and re-energized.
So I went on a little hunt to find some simple ways to indulge yourself in everyday life. Here’s what I found:
