Properly Storing your Cutting Boards
— May 21, 2019When setting up for a warehouse, there are a few things that you have to keep in mind if those…
A friend recently told me a story his father told him: There was a scholar and his assistant walking down a road, and they came to a very small house with a poor family living there whose sole source of income was one cow. The assistant asked the scholar, with all his knowledge, if he couldn’t help the family. The scholar told the assistant to take the cow away and throw it off a nearby cliff…
A few years later, the assistant passed by the same spot and found an enormous house and several cows grazing. He went to talk to that same family and asked them what had happened since they lived in the little house. They told him that their cow had disappeared and the father had no choice but to go find work in the city, as well as the sons, and their lives transformed.
Not all change will be as brutal as throwing the one thing you have off a cliff, but sometimes change can feel that way. No matter what changes occur along your path, it’s certain they will happen or else how would you grow as a person, as a family? Thankfully, there are ways to make change more comfortable and easier to embrace.
One thing you can always control is yourself. Don’t let change own you, own it with an open mind and a purposeful hand.
